CLARITY

What a whirlwind the past six months have been for our ministry! God has spoken directly to our hearts and given us a new name and truly focused and stilled our hearts.

Introducing...
New Family Tree - Orphan, Adoption and Foster Care Outreach A Ministry of Salem Church of God

Information and opportunities will be available at our new website: www.newfamilytree.net

This blog will remain open, but will be used as personal reflection of how God is working in the lives of our family and ministry.

I hope I see your family at Salem soon!
Blessings,
Heather Bench

China Orphan Needs Medical Care

Ken has a very severe heart defect called Pulmonary Atresia and urgently needs surgery. In the short time he has been in our partner's care he has had three heart incidents and turned purple. Doctors have advised that his condition cannot be treated in China but can be treated in the US or Australia. If any blog reader knows of a hospital or doctor who would be willing to donate services to save Ken’s life, please send an email to hbench@woh.rr.com and she will pass along the information to our partner in China.

Happy Father's Day!

There Are No Orphans of God

video

Welcome To God's Embroidery

The ayis at Philip Hayden Foundation take care of special needs orphans

God's Embroidery is a global orphan & child outreach ministry of Salem Church of God, located in Clayton, Ohio.
Each child on this earth is a child of God, embroidered and loved by our Father God. God has a specific plan and family for each of His children (Psalm 68:6 & Psalm 139:13-16). We are responsible to help His children come to Jesus (Matthew 19:13).
God's Embroidery will:
  • Raise awareness within Salem to become a church completely aware of the global needs of children through our ministry partnerships.
  • Encourage Salem to take an active role in changing the lives of God's children worldwide by offering opportunities to learn about child advocacy; child sponsorship; foster care; and adoption.
  • Offer support to families who answer the call to foster parent and/or adopt through prayer, education, support groups and mentoring through our Chosen Ones Support Ministry.
  • Invite the community to Salem in order to learn more about the needs of children by hosting a Global Orphan Awareness/World Family Crisis Summit. God's Embroidery will also host occasional educational opportunities for adoptive and foster parents to meet the International Hague and local foster care requirements.
